Other plants
The beauty of nature is not only in flowering plants. The world of 'Other Plants' is at least as fascinating, if not more special. Trees, bushes, shrubs and lichens are constantly transforming and showing their new faces with the changing seasons. The fresh foliage of spring, the golden yellow and rusty red colors of autumn, or the barren, yet impressively sculptural branch systems of winter all offer a unique sight. The mysterious appearances of mushrooms, the soft green carpets of mosses and the detailed patterns of lichens reveal the hidden wonders of nature.
These types of plants not only provide an aesthetic experience, but also play an important role in the ecosystem, whether it is protecting the soil, providing habitats or cleaning the air. When taking photos, it is worth discovering those details that we might not even notice with the naked eye: the texture of the bark of a tree, the color of the berries of shrubs, or the tiny mushrooms hidden among the mosses. The 'Other Plants' category invites us to see the beauty of nature in less obvious places.
With the following photos I am trying to show the beauties of winter, although in recent years we have had very little snow, so this is not an easy task for me. That is why I managed to get to Zakopane, Poland last year (January 2024), and was able to take beautiful photos, as there is often still snow in the mountains there.
